ABOUT Transplant Life Illinois

As a team we have been participating in the Donate Life Transplant Games of America (TGA) since 1990. We are a close-knit group of transplant recipients, living donors, donor families and team supporters, including family members, medical professionals, and our sponsors.

 

A Board of Directors governs the organization, and a team manager helps organize athletes for the Donate LIfe Transplant Games. A network of volunteers serve on committees to help with fundraising, marketing, and advocacy to fulfill our mission.  

 

Today we are more than just a ragtag team of transplant athletes. We are out in communities across the state of Illinois raising awareness and advocating for ourselves and for the thousands on the transplant waiting list.

We want to show the world that donation enhances and saves lives. Some of us are more physically active than others, but we all share one thing: We're alive and grateful for the gift of life. We take nothing for granted and live every moment "like our donor is watching."
